A NEW GO PASS
🔥 GO Pass: April 2026

Timing: Tuesday, April 7, at 10:00 a.m. local time through May 5, 10:00 a.m. local time
The April GO Pass (GO Pass) goes live Tuesday and everyone gets it free. Rank up by completing Pass Tasks to earn Stardust, XP, Max Particles, and an encounter with Entei, with a chance to be shiny. Trainers who upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe ($7.99) also unlock a Lucky Trinket, a one-time item that turns any Great Friend or higher into a Lucky Friend, even before reaching Best Friends status. The Trinket expires May 12.
Check the link below for a look at the full GO Pass details.
Trainer Tips
The Lucky Trinket is most useful on a friend you trade with regularly or even a long-distance friend you plan to see at an upcoming major event. You can even use in anticipation of a Remote Trade. Just don’t forget to use it before it expires!
THE WEEKEND EVENT
🔨 Community Day: Tinkatink

Timing: Saturday, April 11, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
Tinkatink, the Fairy and Steel-type Metalsmith Pokémon, floods spawns during the three-hour window, and Shiny Tinkatink makes its first appearance in the game. Evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton during the event or up to four hours after to get Gigaton Hammer, a Steel-type Charged Attack exclusive to this event window. That evolution deadline is 9:00 p.m. local time, so you have room to breathe after spawns slow down.
This Reddit post will give you an idea of how good Gigaton Hammer will be.
Active bonuses during event hours: 3x Catch Stardust and 2x Catch Candy. Lure Modules, trade bonuses, and an extra Special Trade extend to 9:00 p.m. A $1.99 Special Research ticket is available in the shop. The Tinkatink and Tinkaton Showcase runs from 10:00 a.m. Saturday through 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
Check the link below for a look at the full event info.
Trainer Tips
Mega Mawile is the perfect Mega to run during this Community Day. It is Steel and Fairy type, which matches both of Tinkatink's types exactly, so it boosts all your catches with bonus Candy.
On top of the event's 3x Stardust, a Star Piece during Community Day will boost Stardust gains by 50%.
GO BATTLE LEAGUE
🏆 Ultra League & Fantasy Cup

Timing: Tuesday, April 7, at 1:00 p.m. PT through Tuesday, April 14, at 1:00 p.m. PT.
The GO Battle League (GBL) rotation flips Tuesday, April 7, at 1:00 p.m. PT. Ultra League and the Fantasy Cup: Great League Edition run through April 14. Ultra League has a 2500 CP cap, while the Fantasy Cup limits entries to 1,500 CP and only Dragon, Steel, and Fairy types. GO Battle Thursday on April 9 brings up to 4x Stardust from win rewards on its own.

RAID BOSS ROTATION
⚔️ Raid Bosses This Week

Five-Star Raids
Regidrago remains in five-star raids until the end of Tuesday, April 7. Regidrago is a pure Dragon-type, weak to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy-type moves. Regidrago has a chance to be shiny. It’s a decent Dragon-type attacker and is presently Rank 11 in Ultra League GBL.
Rotating in Wednesday, April 8: Kyogre (Water type, weak to Electric and Grass) takes over as the five-star boss. It is one of the top Water-type attackers in the game and a legitimate Master League threat. Its best moveset is Waterfall with Origin Pulse, though Origin Pulse requires an Elite Charged TM. If you do not have one, Surf is the next best option. Kyogre is weak to Electric and Grass, so Zapdos, Raikou, Roserade, and Venusaur are solid counter picks. Kyogre has a chance to be shiny.
Mega Raids
Mega Manectric remains in Mega raids until the end of Tuesday, April 7. It is a pure Electric-type, weak to Ground. Its Mega Boost applies to Electric-type moves from all Trainers in a raid. Mega Manectric ranks #5 as a top Electric-type attacker in raids.
Rotating in Wednesday, April 8: Mega Aerodactyl (Rock and Flying type) moves into Mega Raids the same day. It is a top-five Rock-type attacker in the game, and its best moves are Rock Throw and Rock Slide. Mega Aerodactyl also boosts Rock-type moves for your whole team in the same lobby. Note that despite the Flying typing, it has no Flying-type moves. Mega Aerodactyl has a chance to be shiny.
Shadow Raids
Shadow Latios continues appearing in five-star Shadow Raids through May 5. Latios is a Dragon and Psychic-type Legendary, weak to Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy-type moves. Shadow Latios has a chance to be shiny. It ranks among the top Psychic-type attackers at #9 and is presently Rank 25 in Master League GBL.
Raid Hour
Raid Hour runs Wednesday, April 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time with Kyogre featured across gyms.
Trainer Tips
Mega Manectric is in Mega Raids until Tuesday evening. If you have been raiding it, you will have a great counter ready for Kyogre Raid Hour Wednesday evening. Mega Manectric also boosts Electric-type attacks for your whole lobby, and Electric moves are super effective against Kyogre. That timing lines up cleanly if you plan around it.
MAX MONDAY
🌀 Max Monday featuring Dynamax Trapinch

Timing: Monday, April 6, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time.
Dynamax Trapinch makes its Pokémon GO debut this week. Max Battles run from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time Monday through Sunday, with additional Power Spots active on Monday and a featured takeover hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time on April 6. Dynamax Trapinch is available in Max Battles through Sunday, April 12, at 9:00 p.m.
If looking for a hundo, be on the lookout for a Dynamax Trapinch with a 728 CP.
Trainer Tips
Trapinch is a Ground type. Its final evolution, Flygon, is a Dragon and Ground type that sees some play in Great League and Ultra League. Flygon also has some use in Fantasy Cup.
Catching Trapinch after battles also counts toward your Ruin Maniac (Ground-type) badge.

💬 Mimikyu’s Debut: Worth the Wait?

Mimikyu finally arrived in Pokémon GO last week, and the reception has been complicated. Players who have wanted the Ghost and Fairy-type Pokémon for years got their wish, but the delivery felt underwhelming to many. Mimikyu showed up as a “rare” wild spawn and in Field Research task rewards throughout April 1, with boosted encounter rates during Pikachu’s Spotlight Hour. It also appeared as a rank 30 reward on the A Shockingly Good Time GO Pass. Despite multiple ways to find it, the community reaction on Reddit landed somewhere between grateful and frustrated. Many players expected a dedicated event for a Pokémon this popular, and comments like "lame way to finally add it" reflected that.
That's your week, Trainers. Good luck out there!
