WELCOME BACK, TRAINERS!

It’s time to move Forever Forward with a brand new season in Pokémon GO! Hope you enjoyed your final Fast-Track Monday. Unfortunately, that feature will not be continuing into the new season.

Speaking of the new season, Forever Forward launches at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, a new GBL season opens, Spark's Quest for Caretaking begins, and Shadow Dialga appears in Shadow Raids for the first time. On Wednesday, raids will switch up with different raid bosses. By Friday, GO Fest Chicago is live at Grant Park.

🗓️ Week at a Glance

NEW SEASON
What's New This Season?: Forever Forward

Timing: June 2 to September 8, 2026

Daily Discovery changes:

Fast-Track Monday is gone after June 1. The 2x GO Points bonus no longer applies on Mondays in Forever Forward. Max Monday continues unchanged.

Scenic Sunday replaces Double-Time Sunday. Instead of Incense and Lure duration bonuses, Sundays now favor Route exploration: more spawns while walking a Route, improved Incense encounters on Routes, reduced buddy candy distance, and up to 3 Mateo encounters per Route session. The Route mechanic has existed in the game for a while. This season builds the daily reason to use it.

Showcase Tuesday features to up to 20 active Showcase categories, with trainers able to enter up to 5 per week.

GO Battle Thursday continues to double the daily battle cap from 5 sets to 10 sets (50 battles total), with the usual 4x Stardust from wins bonus.

Friendship Friday gains in-person trade bonuses: up to 2 Special Trades, increased Lucky Trade chance, minus 10% Stardust cost, and 2 guaranteed Candy XL per trade. All Friendship Friday bonuses require in-person trades.

New Mega Pokémon this season: Mega Mewtwo X and Y debut at GO Fest in-person events, then go global at GO Fest Global July 11-12 (free for all trainers). Mega X Raichu, Mega Y Raichu, and Mega Skarmory are announced for later in the season.

New Dynamax Pokémon: Electabuzz, Magikarp, Gyarados, Feebas, and Milotic join Power Spots throughout the season, rotating weekly. Inkay opens this week.

Research Breakthroughs (full season): Dragonite, Honedge, Axew, Jangmo-o, Female Indeedee, Klawf.

GBL Season (June 2 to September 8): NAIC Cup opens Week 1. Cups through the season: Sunshine Cup, Fantasy Cup, Summer Cup, Retro Cup, Weather Cup, Evolution Cup, Scroll Cup, and more.

GO Pass: Forever Forward launches with the season. Free and Deluxe tracks available.
